Bread and Butter (memorial to a missing guest)
November 2- December 1
Opening Reception: November 2, 5-8pm
LUX Artist-in-Residence, Nora Rolf created ‘Bread and Butter,’an interactive arrangement of humble landmarks. The landmarks in this installation are small sculptures made of plaster and bread that have been both individually formed and cast in multiples; they are representative of inherited conventions, current notions, and newly formed inclinations. ‘Bread and Butter’ serves as a platform and a sister piece to the installation ‘Memorial to a Missing Guest’. Guests of the LUX are invited to gently handle the smaller installation pieces, and to consider the relationships that are present in the installation, both subtle and overarching.
