Jesters, Clowns & Fools

Bonnie O’Connell uses collage, book arts, prints, and assemblages to explore the motif of clowns, jesters, and fools in our society by taking a deeper look into the cultural significance of prominent figures in athletics, academia, theatre, and politics. O’Connell is the recipient of grants from The National Endowment for the Arts, The Nebraska Arts Council, Nexus Center for Contemporary Art, and The Woman’s Studio Workshop.
