LUX Center for the Arts offers a wide array of classes designed to develop technical skills and creativity while encouraging students to have fun. Instructors and Resident Artists are qualified to teach all ages and skill levels in well-equipped studios.

Creativity Art Camp

Take advantage of a whirlwind week of creativity with a different instructor every day! Make clay sculptures, prints on paper, felted artwork, and acrylic paintings!
SYCAM-01 Ages 5-9 Mon.-Fri., June 11-15, 9:30-12:30 FULL
SYCAM-02 Ages 10-13 Mon.-Fri., June 11-15, 2-5pm

Tuition: $125 (LUX members: $100)

Mastering the Art of Theatre

Create, rehearse, and perform a scene in one week! Your child will work on creating a costume, props, and set while learning the fundamentals of acting and performing for theatre arts. Camp will culminate in a final sharing of Friday afternoon for all to enjoy.

Camp Across Lincoln

This camp allows your child to experience Lincoln’s favorite summer destinations all in week including; LUX Center for the Arts, Lincoln Children’s Zoo, Morrill Hall, Lincoln Children’s Museum, and Pioneers Park Nature Center.
Ages 5-8, Mon.-Fri., July 23-27, 9am-4pm
Tuition: $210 (please register with Lincoln Children’s Museum)

Exploring the Art Box

Imagine a box full of paints, brushes, and various other art materials. In this camp, your child will create fun projects from just those supplies. Each day a different instructor and different project are completed ranging from ceramic pottery to painted landscapes.
