Kate grew up in Fleetwood, PA and learned to knit from her Grandmother in middle school. After graduating from Concordia College, Moorhead MN, Kate moved to Lincoln, NE to expand her creative experience. In various shows Kate experimented with using knitting, crochet and felting in her art. She also started drafting knitting patterns through her label SKHR knits. She is currently living and working in Minneapolis MN as a graphic designer and knitting instructor.
