My art is inherently connected to my identity—it is a visual reflection of my life. I am inspired to create art from the influence of commonplace occurrences that occupy the majority of the moments in our lives from childhood to maturity. My current creative process incorporates the use of toys and elements of childhood play, creating a reciprocal relationship between early fleeting memories and the realities of adulthood. My work allegorically explores the banal and bizarre in an attempt to create provoking and engaging statements using the graphic vocabulary of printmaking.
