My current print series, Legacy, investigates the Legacy Complex building site in Minneapolis. The site is adjacent to St. Anthony Falls (a sacred site) and is part of a larger rebuilding project. The woodcut prints are reinterpretations of photos I took of the buildings during construction. The prints were made with a combination of four wood blocks (hand and laser carved) printed together in various arrangements and configurations. The resulting fragmented images explore architectural details and multiple perspectives that reflect the complexity of the buildings and their relationship to the site.
