Susan Marie Brundage
Susan Marie Brundage received her M.F.A. in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and her B.F.A in studio art from the University of Texas at Austin. Recent group exhibitions include 2019 Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition in Tokushima Japan, The Open Press Collection in Cologne, Germany and Disguise at Mantle Art Space in San Antonio, Texas. She has taught at Penn State Altoona since 2011 where she is currently an Associate Teaching Professor of Visual Art.
Mining images from vintage ephemera, personal photographs, and found source images, I want to elevate the idiosyncratic and mundane to the magical. By using traditional mokuhanga and other relief printmaking techniques, the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
