Larry Roots returns to his Lincoln Origins with selections of recent paintings and sculptural works. Roots Resided in Lincoln from 1993 - 2010 where he began his full time career as an artist. 

My driving force is to learn and to push the image making process. It is increasingly difficult to satisfy myself, to be true to my origins and yet leave further insight to the recipient. All day, everyday, I think, see and speak visually. It is this practiced routine that channels its way into each work. 

Larry Roots is a full time painter and sculptor who resides in Omaha, NE. He earned his B.A. in painting from the University of Northern Colorado where he was named the 2005 Alumni of the Year in the visual arts. He is the owner/director of Modern Arts Midtown Art Gallery, shows regionally and nationally, and is in corporate, public and private collections including the Sheldon Museum of Art, the Museum of Nebraska Art and the Sioux City Art Center, Iowa.
