These linocuts and monoprints in the Diary of a Printmaker series are from a series of over 170 images made for the artist's father, who was in a care home. I Send You My Hands shows the artist longing to touch her father in Covid times. The artist and her father were both veterinarians so two of the images are about shared memories and the absurdity of working with animals. Insulate with Cake and I Dreamed I Chopped Off My Head are about the stresses of solo living. Part diary, part postcard conversation, the prints were made to be humorous thoughtful images, packed with hidden details and narratives that allow for a slow reading of the image.
