UNL Photovoice Exhibit
UNL Photovoice Exhibit
A Photovoice Exhibit by seven Lincoln youth will display photographs with written narratives to give voice to their perspectives and experiences as refugees. The project is organized by Nebraska Extension with a 4-H True Leaders in Equity grant. Three youth refugees who participated in a Photovoice project in 2021 decided to lead a Photovoice of their own. They chose to focus their Photovoice project on young adult refugees, particularly the mental health impacts of dual navigation — which is the immigration of oneself while also assisting one’s family in the immigration process.
