Learn to make bas-relief clay tiles! This class will cover subtractive carving techniques, creating texture, additive methods and stamping among others.  Students will have the option of creating a plaster mold of their tile(s) in order to make multiples.  This class will also cover the varieties of surface treatments you can use for decoration.  For example, stains and oxides, underglazes, sgrafito methods, underglazes and terra sigillata (liquid slip).  All materials and firing will be provided. This class is for adults 16+.
