Morning Spring Break Camp: Youth & Teen Wheel Throwing
Morning Spring Break Camp: Youth & Teen Wheel Throwing
Learn to use the pottery wheel! In this camp, Youth (age 9-11) and Teens (age 12-15), will focus on the fundamentals of starting a project on the wheel and the basic knowledge needed to master this essential step. Beginning and experienced students are welcome; more experienced students can work with the instructor to explore their own ideas. Please wear clothing and shoes that can get messy! Artwork will be ready about two weeks after the camp. All materials and firings provided.
LUX camps are offered for kindergarten graduates through students who are 15 years old. All campers must have completed kindergarten (no exceptions) prior to attending camp and must have basic classroom skills. Students must be at least 9 years old to learn the pottery wheel and age 10 is even better as the person throwing must be physically large enough to push the clay around. Please select camps based on your child's current age. Kids - Age 5-8 (must have completed Kindergarten), Youth - Age 9-11, and Teens - Age 12-15.
Note that we've extended our camp instruction time from 3 hours to 3.5 hours, so pick up time is now 12:30pm! Snack still included.
