Visiting Artist Workshop: Imagery on Stained Glass with Joseph Cavalieri
Visiting Artist Workshop: Imagery on Stained Glass with Joseph Cavalieri
Joseph Cavalieri is excited to return to the LUX with a new, two-day stained glass workshop!
In this visiting artist workshop, participants will use premixed enamels to paint, airbrush, pen, and silk-screen designs and images onto stained glass, then kiln fire the pieces. No need to be an expert painter, we will be tracing images in class. Participants will learn and practice these techniques, then on day two, will copper foil and solder the glass pieces together to make a finished stained-glass panel.
The workshop is scheduled from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2, with an hour lunch break on your own. Joseph will provide silk-screens for students to use. All materials, equipment, and kiln firing will be provided by the LUX. Joseph will also provide advice on framing and lighting, as well as art marketing and residency tips.
This workshop is for Adults 16+. Pre-registration closes Monday, January 20, 2025.
