Madison Svendgard is a narrative-based artist creating works on paper that explore themes of labor, boredom, and escapism while using elements of magical realism to create intrigue in the mundane. Svendgard received her BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 and MFA from the University of Arkansas with an emphasis in drawing in 2022. Svendgard has taught foundational drawing and color theory at University of Arkansas and is currently a resident at The LUX Center For the Arts.
