I grew up in David City, NE and graduated from UNL in 2000 with an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts, emphasis in Ceramics.  After graduation, I began a family and fell into a career in accounting.  About 6 years ago I began to focus my free time on my art and 4 years ago, I joined the Noyes Art Gallery. Beginning in Jan. 2023 I started a fellowship with the LUX. The LUX has allowed me to experiment with different clay bodies, glazes, and kilns. In most of my work, I utilize the application of hand painted one of a kind underglaze transfers to bring my decoration to life.  I hope to evoke a sense of familiarity and connection, inviting viewers to draw on their own memories, emotions, and narratives.
