Endora and Friends is fun and colorful stained glass work by New York City / Tardiveau, France glass artist and educator Joseph Cavalieri. His work is based on his love of Endora, the magical mother-in-law portrayed by Agnes Moorehead on the TV sitcom Bewitched, and her friends.

Painted stained glass has a powerful tradition that dates back to Medieval windows in cathedrals throughout Europe. Cavalieri’s techniques use a similar process of painting and firing enamels on glass in a kiln, but he combines more modern processes of hand painting on glass including air-brushing, silk-screening, and penning to produce the works shown in this exhibition. Enamels are fired at 1290 degrees Fahrenheit. Once cooled the glass is soldered together using the Tiffany technique.
