Katelyn Farneth began her career as an artist in Pennsylvania where she attended Edinboro University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Painting, minoring in Drawing and Art History. During her time at Edinboro she also studied Art History abroad in Siena Italy. After graduating in May 2015, she moved to Lincoln to be an artist-in-residence at the LUX Center for the Arts. Upon completing her two year-long residency, Katelyn continued her involvement at the LUX working in Education. As her time in Lincoln has grown so has her commitment to the artistic community, where she continued to bring creativity and community together as Exhibition and Gallery Shop Director. Katelyn says “I love the relationships I have built here in Lincoln. I have met so many amazing people in this community that truly have an understanding of the value and impact the arts have on all its members.”
