Artist in Residence in November 2018 was an experience that led me down a new path. I met Karen Kunc and her husband Kenny Walton at Constellation Studios in Lincoln, Nebraska, where I was staying, to learn about their work and way of life, and to feel a sense of freedom in a land surrounded by horizons. I was able to reconsider the meaning of pursuing the path of manufacturing, and my mind and work changed.
Based on the impressions I received at that time, ``Winter Morning'' expresses the morning light at Constellation Studio in winter, and ``The Days'' expresses the days spent in Lincoln and the image of the prairie with hope.
