Zach Horn
Zach Horn is an interdisciplinary artist, focused on divergent methodologies in painting, installation, and animation. In his studio practice, Horn portray local labor unions and familiar objects, like BBQ grills. Horn's work is assertively political and intimately heartfelt. Both the advocative and humanist themes are personal.
Zach received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a MFA from Boston University. His work has been on exhibit in numerous museums, galleries, and academic institutions throughout the United States and abroad. Highlights include solo shows at Työväenmuseo Werstas (Tampere, Finland), Grand Central Madison (New York, NY), Museum of Work & Culture (Woonsocket, RI), Czong Institute for Contemporary Art, (Gimpo-si, South Korea), University of Maine Museum of Art (Bangor, ME), and RARE Gallery (New York, NY). Currently (2025) Zach is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Zach lives in Boston, Massachusetts with his wife and three ebullient sons.
