Nature Inspired
The only criteria for this exhibition was that the pieces be somehow inspired by nature. Many different approaches to this theme evolved to create this diverse showing of fiber art.

Mark Making...a Round Robin activity
Each member started with an 18" square of fabric that they had made a "mark" on. Marks could include dye, stamps, applique, paint, etc. Every month, the piece was passed on to another member until everyone had made their "mark" on each piece.

Chihuly
Our quilts are inspired by the work of Dale Chihuly, an artist whose medium is blown glass. We were to create a quilt that is colorful and fun, inspired by the shapes, colors and design of chihuly. Dale Chinuly's works can be seen at the Joslyn and the Buffet Cancer Center in Omaha.
