Students will hone their observational skills through drawing still life, landscape, and portraiture. Graphite, charcoal, and pastels will be used to represent value, line, and texture. Every Saturday from 10:30am-12:30pm activities will be provided for young artists 12-15 years old and their adult caregivers.

This drop-in class is perfect for busy schedules and teens who want to try everything! This experience is choice-based and student-led; it is not a traditionally structured classroom experience. This format introduces children to not just making but also thinking like an artist! Activities and materials vary from week to week so no two Saturday mornings will be the same!

Perfect for the artists who wants to try it all, or who want to continnue to hone their skills in multiple areas! Participants learn to use a variety of art techniques and materials. Each class will focus on learning about a new art medium and creating a finishing a piece of your own. Painting, drawing, and mixed media will be explored.

Students will have a blast learning about different artists, painting techniques and styles each week. Student will make their own paintings while learning basic paint mixing and brushwork techniques. Lessons change from month to month so repeat class takers can try it all!
