My prints explore space. My paper space may be purposely left empty or darkened like a black hole. I choose to activate the empty space by contrasting it with adjacent patterns or perhaps sprinkle it with dots or points of light. My images represent the floating world of the mind. Like this Earth space we occupy, they are not limited by gravity’s demand.
Printmaking affords me the use of many different techniques and when layered upon and around each other these multiple techniques can enliven the vision or incorporate some mystery not easily achieved by a single method.
And woodblock creation involves the human mind and hand in a very personal and thought provoking fashion. Thoughts and designs change within the process...a pleasure
