All Ages Workshop: Papermaking
All Ages Workshop: Papermaking
Making handmade paper has enjoyed a resurgence, both as a traditional craft and as an art-form. Papermaking involves dipping a screen stretched across a frame—known as the “mould and deckle”—into a vat of pulp (made from recycled paper or plant materials), which results in randomly interwoven fibers. In this workshop, students will experiment with papermaking and colored pulp painting. A paying adult must accompany all children age 11 and under. Teens, age 12-15, do not need a parent/guardian to stay, but they MUST be reachable in case of emergencies. All materials will be provided. Projects will be ready about two weeks after the workshop. Pre-registration is required.
This workshop is for All Ages.
NOTE: An art class or workshop running is contingent on a minimum of 3 participants enrolled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class/workshop. Cancellation notices will be emailed, and you may respond with an alternate class/workshop choice or request a refund. You are encouraged to invite a friend to ensure that your class/workshop runs!
