LUX Artist in Residence Jewelya Coffey is a multidisciplinary artist who makes two-dimensional and three-dimensional work. Her colorful, highly symbolic pieces play with themes of memory, grief, religion, rural life, growing up in the Ozarks, and explores the god-haunted image. In this class, Jewelya will lead participants in various painting and drawing exercises as they identify and incorporate symbolism in their work. All materials provided.
