Add Lunch Care to your student's camp registration!

Students must bring a cold lunch (labeled with the student's name). Lunch Care features structured activities and planned projects which supplement camp learning. Students are allowed to bring books, small quiet toys and electronics to use during occasional free-time during Camp Care. The LUX is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We are not able to store these items for students during camp.

Kids age 5-8 will build their skills in painting and drawing while learning new techniques and new mediums! Explore art-making with a new project each day. Experienced students are welcome to join us and continue to improve their skills. All materials provided.

This workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of painting with acrylic paints while exploring the concept of abstration, where the artist uses shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect rather than realistic depictions. All paints and materials provided. This workshop is for adults 16+.

Dioramas are artistic, three-dimensional representations of a scene which often incorporate landscape and architectural elements. In this family-friendly workshop, participants will create dioramas out of paper, cardboard, paint and more.

A paying adult must accompany all children ages 11 and under. Teens, age 12-15, do not need a parents/guardians to stay, but they MUST be reachable in case of emergencies. This workshop is for ages 5+.

Spring Break Camp Morning Care is offered Monday, March 10 - Friday, March 14 from 8am-9am.

Morning Care is perfect for busy parents or caregivers who have full mornings! Students will be provided fun, easy, art activities that ease them into their day of camp. Students may be dropped off anytime between 8am-9am.

Join us on Saturday mornings for our 2-D with a Cup of Tea series, where participants will be exposed to a wide variety of 2-D mediums and techniques while enjoying a selection of hot tea and a fresh pot of coffee from Mo Java Café!

Explore your voice through creative expression! Expressions of Art and Hope is a series of free art classes for individuals living with and beyond cancer. These classes are usually held the second Monday of each month in collaboration with CHI St. Elizabeth and the LUX Center for the Arts. All participants must register individually. Classes take place at the LUX Center for the Arts from 6:00-8:00pm.

In this all ages workshop, participants will create their own Valentine cards through various techniques including relief printing, stamps, stencils, watercolor, colored pencil, and collage. All materials provided.

In this fun workshop, participants will be guided in creating a visual interpretation of their own houses or a favorite building. Instruction will include basic perspective and participants will use a variety of mediums to create realistic renditions or whimsical or symbolic interpretations of their home or favorite building. Participants are asked to bring several reference photos to work from. All materials provided. This workshop is for Adults 16+.
