Fiber artist Cindi Pape will demonstrate "Creating Creatures" using a variety of fabrics and embellishments and hand stitching in this FREE event in the Community Gallery.
This event is being held in conjunction with the "Mixing Elements" exhibition by the 11 members of Fiber Works, a group of fiber artists from five cities in Eastern Nebraska. The theme of the quilts in the exhibition is: Mark Making, Chihuly Inspired and Nature. This exhibition will be on display at the LUX from November 1 - 30, with an Opening Reception on Friday, November 1, 5-8pm.

Work from a live model and sharpen your figure drawing or sculpting skills. In this series of workshops, participants will be drawing or sculpting the human figure in an open studio format.
Each workshop will start with short poses for gestures and sketches and then move into longer poses, with a final pose for completed drawings or sculptures. Open to all skill levels, the goal of this workshop is to practice proportion, gesture movement, and perspective. A LUX teaching artist will be present to host the sessions and assist participants as needed.
