In this 6-week class, students will learn the basics of formulating glazes, mixing and testing glaze recipes, and developing color line blends. Students will gain understanding of the dry materials used and how they affect the properties of a glaze including surface (glossy, matte, satin), transparent/opaque, and temperature maturation. Students will work towards formulating their own cone 04-cone 6 glaze with their desired characteristics and colorants to fire in an electric kiln. All materials will be provided. This class is for Adults 16+.
