Join us on Saturday mornings for our new 2-D with a Cup of Tea series, where students will be exposed to a wide variety of 2-D mediums and techniques while enjoying a selection of hot tea and a fresh pot of coffee from Mo Java Café!
In this 4-week class, students explore Still Life Drawing and will learn to draw objects of all different sizes, shapes, and textures with graphite and charcoal. Taught by LUX Artist-in-Residence Maddie Hinrichs, this class is for beginning through advanced students aged 16 and older.
Explore your voice through creative expression! Expressions of Art and Hope is a series of free art classes for individuals living with and beyond cancer. These classes are usually held the second Monday of each month in collaboration with CHI St. Elizabeth and the LUX Center for the Arts. All participants must register individually. Classes take place at the LUX Center for the Arts from 6:00-8:00pm.

The LUX offers extra care options for working parents! Add Morning Care or Lunch Care to your child’s camp registration. Students must pack a cold lunch if selecting Lunch Care. The LUX has refrigerators for lunches to be stored in and microwaves to heat up food if desired.

In this winter workshop, you will learn the basics of making wire wrapped beaded jewelry. From learning about the materials to learning how to wire wrap a bead - this workshop will set you up with the skills so you leave with your own one-of-a-kind piece! Students will have a blast learning about different artists, painting techniques and styles each week. Student will make their own paintings while learning basic paint mixing and brushwork techniques. Lessons change from month to month so repeat class takers can try it all!
